Everyone Thought He’d Be Dead in Two Years. She Had “0 Doubt.”

Hi Athena,

What inspired me to reach out was your video about the ideal version of you. I only recently started watching you after finding Joseph again, although your name felt strangely familiar. It turned out I had discovered you before him, but at that time I was in a different state of mind and your message did not resonate with me yet.

I began this journey two years ago and explored all the methods—repetition, deciding, visualising, scripting and more. The more I searched, the more complicated and confusing it became. Then, a few weeks ago, I finally understood the concept of I AM. It clicked that we have been doing this naturally our entire lives. Finding the Law was itself a successful manifestation because, during the hardest period of my life, I had desperately wanted to understand who we are and what this experience means.

The success story I want to share began in 2017, years before I knew anything about the Law—and I am not even the protagonist.

I met a man through a game on my phone. His writing was almost Shakespearean, his grammar flawless and his humour brilliant, but I sensed that the humour was hiding something. I reached out and we connected instantly. As time passed, we began feeling more for one another than either of us had intended.

His circumstances were incredibly difficult. He had been addicted to drugs for more than twenty years. Addiction ran throughout his family, his mother had become an enabler through fear, and his relationship with the mother of his young child was deeply unhealthy. He adored his child, but even that love had not been enough to make him stop.

When he told me everything, the first words out of my mouth were: “I have zero doubt you will beat this.”

He kept telling me I did not understand. I agreed that I did not—but I still chose to see it that way. He began crying and told me I was the only person who had ever shown him positivity or faith. These were not empty words of encouragement. I had relentless, unwavering faith that he would turn his life around. I did not know how or why. I simply did.

We spoke for two years. Eventually, I withdrew because our feelings were moving in a direction that was not right for anyone involved. I knew my worth and knew the situation was not what I deserved. By then, however, he had reduced a double-digit daily pill intake to single digits. His voice was clearer, his eyes were no longer droopy and his speech was no longer so slow. I could see that he was moving in the right direction.

He understood why I needed to leave. Our contact became sporadic, but whenever we spoke, I ended with the same reminder: “Zero doubt.”

Then last year, I received a message from him: “I AM 100% CLEAN AND SOBER!”

I cried with happiness. He asked how I could have known when everyone else believed he would be dead within two years. I told him: “I never allowed the addicted version of you to determine the outcome I saw. I saw you clean, sober, free, happy, healthy, loving and fulfilled. That is the person I chose to see through all the noise.”

We remain in touch today, and I never lost contact with his mother. She loves me, I love her, and the story reached a beautiful ending.

I did not affirm for him, script about him or visualise his recovery. I was busy rebuilding my own life. What remained was the deep knowing I had carried from the beginning. By every visible standard, the circumstances said the opposite for years, but I never allowed them to change what I had decided was possible for him.

This taught me that there is no single technique or magical key. Each person is their own key. We have been assuming, choosing and identifying throughout our lives, long before discovering the Law. Learning about it should return us to our own power—not make us dependent upon methods, signs, angel numbers or endless analysis.

I still had moments of disappointment, anger and fear. I researched addiction, watched recovery stories and learned how to support someone without enabling them. I did what felt natural in the visible world. Having difficult emotions did not undo my deeper conviction.

We need more confidence and backbone when something truly matters to us. We must stop pleading with circumstances and abandoning what we know within ourselves. Claim the identity. Stay loyal to yourself and to the ending you have chosen.

If anyone takes one thing from this story, let it be this: remember a time when you made something happen in your own life. Remember what you thought, knew or decided. Often, beneath all the techniques, there was simply a decision that continued to stand—like ancient ruins still standing today—regardless of what the outside world seemed to show.

Zero doubt.
